The complete measurer; or, The whole art of measuring ..
A practical measuring manual by William Hawney, printed in London by Rivington in 1789 for carpenters, surveyors, timber merchants and other tradesmen who needed geometry on the job. The woodcuts are small lettered diagrams: semicircles, triangles and rhombuses with dotted construction lines, hatched fill and inked dimension numbers, useful as spare geometric marks, technical ornament or diagram motifs.
