McKay in Philadelphia in 1900 for amateur conjurers. The wood-engraved figures show cuffed hands in mid-manipulation, palming, pinching and stretching, modelled in dense hatching against blank ground, ready for use as cut-out gesture motifs or diagrammatic spot illustrations.
