Considerazioni d'Alimberto Mavri sopra alcvni lvoghi del Discorso di Lodouico delle Colombe intorno alla stella apparita 1604
A 1606 Florentine polemic printed by Giovanni Antonio Caneo, in which the pseudonymous Alimberto Mauri (an identity long linked to Galileo) disputes Lodovico delle Colombe's account of the new star of 1604, written for Italian readers following the astronomical quarrel. The single plate holds two stacked woodcut diagrams: fan-shaped bundles of rays converging on a point, keyed with italic letters, crossed by arcs, hatched blocks, and a small many-pointed star or compass rose, all set into the text block.
