Country architecture in France and England : XV. and XVI. centuries...
A photographic survey of fifteenth- and sixteenth-century manors, farmsteads and small châteaux in France and England, issued by photographer C. D. Arnold in Buffalo in 1896 for architects and builders working in period styles. The halftone plates show whole elevations in flat daylight: checkered brick and flint walls, round stair turrets, steep tiled roofs, timber framing, gateways and overgrown courtyards, useful as masonry-pattern and roofline reference.
