Courrier de l'art
Courrier de l'art was a weekly French art journal published in Paris by the Librairie de l'art from 1881 under editor Eugène Véron, addressed to critics, collectors and artists following exhibitions and the salons. The plates here are wood-engraved page furniture: a title-page border of birds perched among peonies and a wooden trellis, a small still-life vignette of drapery, egg and brushes, and an architectural cartouche framing a name in ruled capitals, all usable as headpieces, frames and nameplates.
