Cours de mathématique : contenant toutes les parties de cette science, mises à la portée des commençants
A French edition of Christian Wolff's mathematics course for beginners, published by Charles-Antoine Jombert in Paris in 1757 and once owned by John Adams, covering geometry, geography, astronomy and optics. The engraved plates group numbered line diagrams on a page: circles crossed by chords and radii, fan-like sightline bundles, perspective boxes, and lightly hatched or tinted solids, all keyed with italic letters and engraver signatures usable as ready-made technical ornament.
