A five-part crochet instruction series compiled by Marie Louise Kerzman and issued by H. Bristow in Brooklyn in 1883 for home needleworkers. Wood-engraved plates show swatches, edgings, insertions and fringed borders in dense hatched line, rendering each twisted strand and knot separately — usable as repeating band patterns, textures and tassel motifs.
