Crockery & glass journal
A New York trade weekly for the pottery, glass and china business, issued by G. Whittemore & Co. from 1875 and read by importers, manufacturers and retail dealers. The plates run to coarse-screen halftone portraits of industry men in oval vignettes, some set in line-drawn borders of stylized flowers and corner brackets, giving usable head-and-shoulders cutouts, decorative frame motifs and heavily dotted grey tones.
