Crockery & Glass Journal was a New York trade weekly issued by G. Whittemore & Co. from 1875 for pottery, china, and glassware manufacturers, importers, and dealers. The plates here are printed column headings and department banners set in spaced capitals inside ruled panels with laurel swags and scrolled corner ornaments, giving designers ready-made rule frames, corner fleurons, and letterpress display lettering.
