The spectroscope in medicine
A medical monograph by Charles Alexander MacMunn, published by Churchill in London in 1880, explaining spectroscopic analysis of blood and urine pigments for physicians and laboratory workers. Wood engravings show bench spectroscopes by Browning and other makers on tripod and pillar stands, hand-held instruments with lettered part keys, and an induction coil producing a spark against solid black.
