The garden that we made
A 1920 London edition, translated from the Swedish, in which Crown Princess Margareta of Sweden describes the making of the gardens at Sofiero, issued for the readers of "The Girl's Own Paper & Woman's Magazine." The 78 halftone plates are soft grey amateur photographs of borders, lawns, gravel drives, pergolas and shrub-backed beds, useful for hazy tonal backgrounds, period planting reference and grainy vegetation textures.
