An introduction to the study of colour phenomena explaining a new theory of colour based entirely on experimental facts with applications to scientific and industrial investigations

Lovibond, Joseph Williams · 1905 · New York, Spon & Chamberlain · 13 pictures

A 1905 treatise on colour measurement by Joseph Williams Lovibond, inventor of the tintometer, published in New York by Spon & Chamberlain for scientists and industrial chemists testing tints. The plates are hand-painted watercolour colour wheels with hand-lettered hue names ringing the rim and ruled spokes marking primary and secondary triads, useful for palette diagrams, circular labels, and vintage lettered charts.
