Study of fabrics
A 1920 textile manual by Annabell Turner, published in New York and London by D. Appleton for home economics students and dressmakers learning to judge cloth. The plates are halftone photographs of fabric swatches shown whole and unravelled, giving dense woven grids, loose thread tangles, torn selvedges and high-contrast black-and-white weave textures usable as patterns, grounds or scanned overlays.
