The geology of New Hampshire. A report comprising the results of explorations ordered by the legislature
A state geological survey report by Charles H. Hitchcock, published in Concord, New Hampshire, in 1874 for the legislature and for geologists, naturalists, and engineers. The plates are lithographed thematic maps of the state: forest cover shaded green with red overprint for burned tracts, and isothermal temperature lines traced in red over black township and river outlines, useful for map textures, overprint color systems, and engraved lettering.
