Collected research papers of the Cambridge mathematician and physicist George Gabriel Stokes, issued by Cambridge University Press from 1880 and edited later with Larmor and Rayleigh, for physicists and mathematicians. The plates are line diagrams: labelled axes and angles at a point, ray paths, dotted curves over vertical gridlines, and a sector-cut disc with a rotation arrow.
