Two lectures on the development and present position of chemical analysis by emission spectra
Two lectures by Frank Twyman on spectrum analysis for chemical work, published in London by the instrument firm A. Hilger in 1911 for chemists and laboratory workers. The plates are engraved and halftone views of spectroscopes and spectrographs on cast tripod and bar stands, shown in three-quarter profile with lettered parts, tube barrels, prism housings and micrometer screws against blank grounds, useful as isolated instrument silhouettes and metal-shading references.
