The book of the sky; a résumé of personal experience and observation
A popular account of sky phenomena — clouds, light, color, and upper-atmosphere effects — written by physicist Matthew Luckiesh and published by E. P. Dutton in New York in 1922 for general readers. The plates are halftone photographs of cloud formations printed at high contrast, giving mottled mackerel skies, towering cumulus edges against black, and dark treelines as silhouette bases.
