Report on the building and ornamental stones of Canada
A government survey of Canadian building and ornamental stones, compiled by geologist William A. Parks for the Mines Branch of the Department of Mines and published in Ottawa in 1912 for quarry operators, architects, and builders. Its halftone plates show working quarry faces, bedded rock walls, split blocks with drill marks, and close views of dressed masonry courses, offering stone textures, rubble and ashlar patterns, and industrial landscape backgrounds.
