Illuminating engineering practice; lectures on illuminating engineering delivered at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, September 20 to 28, 1916, under the joint auspices of the University and the Illuminating Engineering Society
A 1917 McGraw-Hill volume collecting lectures given at the University of Pennsylvania in September 1916 under the Illuminating Engineering Society, addressed to engineers and architects learning electric lighting practice. Colour plates show night views of exposition buildings, floodlit domes and towers against black skies, searchlight beams fanning into spectral rainbows — usable as sources of glowing architecture, coloured light rays and dark-ground composition.
