William Callow, R. W. S., F. R. G. S.;
A 1908 A. and C. Black colour-plate monograph on the English watercolourist William Callow, compiled with H. M. Cundall for collectors and amateur painters in London. The 23 plates reproduce watercolour street and river views of French, German, Flemish and Italian towns — gabled town halls, cathedral fronts, arcaded squares, market crowds under high cloudy skies — useful for architectural silhouettes, warm ochre-and-umber washes, and loosely brushed figure groups.
