General astronomy
A university-level astronomy textbook by Harold Spencer Jones, published by Edward Arnold in London in 1922 for students and general readers. The plates are line diagrams of orbital geometry — nested and overlapping ellipses, circles with lettered points, radius vectors, dashed construction lines and small arrows marking direction of motion — usable as spare geometric line art, diagram vocabulary, or endpaper patterning.
