Researches into the origin of the primitive constellations of the Greeks, Phoenicians and Babylonians
A two-volume scholarly study by Robert Brown, published by Williams and Norgate in London in 1899, comparing Greek, Phoenician and Babylonian constellation names and star lore for classicists and Assyriologists. The plates are line diagrams of star groups with dots of graded size joined by thin rules and labelled in Greek letters, Greek words and transliterated Akkadian, plus a printed monogram device reading E PUR SI MUOVE.
