Confessions of a caricaturist
A 1917 Scribner collection of verse caricatures by Oliver Herford, who drew and rhymed portraits of American and British literary and public figures for New York readers. The drawings are loose pen-and-brush figure studies: standing and seated men in checked suits, wild hair, jutting beards, hatching and dry-brush shading against blank white grounds.
