Seat work and industrial occupations; a practical course for primary grades
A 1916 Macmillan teachers' manual by Mary Louise Gilman and Elizabeth Baillie Williams, setting out paper-cutting and handwork exercises for American primary classrooms. The plates are flat cut-paper scenes in four or five unmixed colors — red-hooded girl, black wolf and tree silhouettes, yellow paths crossing green hills, a hunter above white ducks — useful for stencil shapes and high-contrast color pairings.
