Graded games and rhythmic exercises for primary schools (for the school room and playground)
A teacher's handbook of singing games, marching drills, and rhythmic exercises for primary grades, written by Marion Bromley Newton and issued by A.S. Barnes in New York in 1907 for classroom and playground use. The plates are coarse-screen halftone photographs, printed sideways and reduced almost to black-and-white silhouette, showing rows and rings of children in pale pinafores against dark ground — useful as high-contrast crowd shapes and grain texture.
