Drawing, from drawing as an educational force to drawing as an expression of the emotions
A 1921 instructional manual on drawing by Archibald Standish Hartrick and F. Morley Fletcher, published in London and New York by Pitman for art students and teachers. The plates include watercolour studies of plant sprays — a five-leaflet spray turning from green to rust, and a holly branch with red berries — usable as isolated botanical motifs on plain white grounds.
