The housing problem in war and peace
A 1918 report issued by the Journal of the American Institute of Architects in Washington, in which Whitaker, Ackerman, Childs and Wood set out wartime worker housing and garden-city planning for architects and officials. Halftone photographs show brick and roughcast cottage terraces, chimneys and roof lines, alongside line drawings of elevations, floor plans and site layouts with dimensions and lettering.
