The colonial architecture of Philadelphia
A 1920 survey of Philadelphia's eighteenth-century buildings by photographer Frank Cousins and writer Phil M. Riley, issued in Boston by Little, Brown for architects, builders, and preservation-minded readers. Halftone photographs record doorways, fanlights, pedimented porches, paneled shutters, brick facades, and dormered rooflines in strong black-and-white contrast, supplying period architectural detail and silhouettes for tracing or collage.
