The cathedrals of central Italy
An architectural travel survey of Italian cathedrals by T. Francis Bumpus, published in London by T. W. Laurie in 1911 for English readers touring or studying church building. The plates are halftone photographs of interiors and exteriors printed with heavy blacks and coarse screen, showing nave arcades, ribbed vaults, marble inlay, baldachins and altar fittings, useful as high-contrast architectural texture and perspective reference.
