Interiors, fireplaces, & fvrnitvre of the Italian renaissance
A 1916 photographic survey of Italian Renaissance interiors, chimneypieces and furniture by Harold Donaldson Eberlein, issued in New York by the Architectural Book Publishing Co. for architects, decorators and craftsmen. The halftone plates record carved stone and wood in raking light: acanthus pilasters, coffered ceilings, heraldic overmantels, rosette panels, useful as ornament reference or grainy architectural texture.
