Stained glass of the middle ages in England and France
A 1913 survey of medieval stained glass in English and French churches, written by Hugh Arnold with watercolour copies by Lawrence B. Saint, published in London by A. and C. Black for students of glass painting and church art. The plates reproduce whole lancet windows, grisaille grounds with coloured bosses, and single medallions of figure scenes, giving designers canopy tracery, lead-line grids, and saturated red-and-blue colour fields to sample.
