Illustrated catalogue of the remarkable collection of ancient Chinese bronzes, beautiful old porecelains ... comprising the private collection of a Chinese nobleman of Tien-Tsin and objects procured by ... Yamanaka & Co. ..
An auction sale catalogue issued in New York in 1914 by the American Art Association for Yamanaka & Co., cataloguing Chinese bronzes and porcelains from a Tientsin nobleman's collection, compiled with Dana H. Carroll for collectors and dealers. The plates are colour photographs of single vessels isolated on white, showing sang-de-boeuf red bottles, crackle-glazed green jars and carved dark wood stands, useful for cut-out object silhouettes, glaze textures and a saturated red-and-green palette.
