A book of porcelain, fine examples in the Victoria & Albert Museum
A museum picture book of 1910 from A. & C. Black, London, with text by Victoria and Albert Museum ceramics keeper Bernard Rackham and colour plates drawn by William Gibb, aimed at collectors and students of pottery. The plates show single vases, jars, bowls and figures painted in watercolour against plain green mounts, giving clean cut-out objects with hand-rendered glaze colour, floral and figural surface ornament, and usable decorative motifs.
