Old Chinese porcelain and works of art in China; being description and illustrations of articles selected from an exhibition held in Shanghai, November, 1908
A. W. Bahr's catalogue of Chinese porcelain and art objects shown at a 1908 Shanghai exhibition, published in London and New York by Cassell in 1911 for collectors and dealers in the Western antiquities trade. Colour plates painted by a Shanghai studio show single vases on carved wooden stands, each framed by a curling scroll or hanging panels of blue key-fret, plum blossom, or gold brocade pattern, with a red seal and signature at lower left; useful for vessel silhouettes, border patterns, and famille-rose flower-and-bird motifs.
