City plan for Akron
A 1919 city planning report for Akron, Ohio, prepared by landscape architect and planner John Nolen for the city's Chamber of Commerce and printed by the University Press in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The plates are tinted survey maps in yellow, green and grey showing street grids, rail lines, river bends, parks and proposed parkways, with cross-hatched blocks and hand-lettered place names that can be lifted as texture, map fragments, or period lettering.
