Papers on mechanical and physical subjects
Collected scientific papers by the engineer Osborne Reynolds, edited by Arthur Brightmore and William Moorby and issued by Cambridge University Press in 1900 for physicists and applied mechanicians. The plates are line diagrams: lettered circles packed in fourfold symmetry, solid and dotted construction lines, a cone-and-ellipse section, and a cube webbed with chords between marked vertices, usable as geometric motifs, lattice patterns, or technical ornament.
