A short history of the printing press and of the improvements in printing machinery from the time of Gutenberg up to the present day
A trade history of printing machinery written by press manufacturer Robert Hoe and published by his own New York firm in 1902 for printers, publishers, and the machine trade. Wood engravings and halftones show web presses, cylinder presses, and folders in three-quarter view, dense with flywheels, gear trains, belts, and frame castings against plain grounds — usable as industrial silhouettes and machine-part details.
