How to make paper costumes
An instruction booklet issued in 1922 by the Dennison Manufacturing Company of Framingham, Massachusetts, showing home crafters and party hostesses how to build fancy-dress costumes out of crepe paper. Numbered pen-and-ink figures show young women in short fringed and petal-cut skirts, ruffled bodices and novelty hats, each drawn in flat black line with heavy hatching, easy to cut out as isolated figures or to reuse as fringe, scallop and rosette motifs.
