A history and description of English earthenware and stoneware (to the beginning of the 19th century)
William Burton's 1904 survey of English earthenware and stoneware up to 1800, published in London and New York by Cassell for collectors, curators and ceramic students. Colour plates and halftones show single pots against plain grounds: lustre jugs banded with rosettes and crosses, agateware marbled in ochre and slate, applied hunting scenes, and ribbed green bodies with blue trim.
