M.P.'s in session, from Mr. Punch's parliamentary portrait gallery
A gallery of caricatures of British Members of Parliament drawn by Harry Furniss for Punch, with text by Percival Leigh, published in London by Bradbury, Agnew in 1889 for readers following Westminster politics. The pen-and-ink figures are full-length and isolated on white, built from crosshatched coats, top hats and cast shadows, giving designers cut-out silhouettes of gesturing Victorian men.
