The submarine in war and peace; its developments and its possibilities
A 1918 technical account of submarine design and use by American inventor Simon Lake, published in Philadelphia and London for engineers and general readers following wartime interest in undersea craft. Illustrations combine labelled cutaway diagrams of hulls, ballast tanks and torpedo rooms with halftone photographs of boats at sea and under ice, useful for sectional machine drawings and numbered keys.
