The Atlantic ferry, its ships, men, and working
A technical account of transatlantic steamship lines, their vessels, crews and operation, written by naval architect Arthur J. Maginnis and published in London by Whittaker in 1892 for shipping men and engineers. The plates are line-drawn deck plans and longitudinal sections labelled with cabins, engine and boiler spaces, cargo holds and ice rooms, useful as diagrammatic hull profiles and dense annotated layouts.
