Memorials of love
A privately printed memorial volume of 1907, written by the Presbyterian minister George B. Spalding and paid for by Mrs. Russell Sage, describing and dedicating the memorial stained-glass windows of the First Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, New York, for the congregation and invited readers. The scanned pages are mostly empty rectangles drawn with a single thin rule, plus divisional leaves carrying one blackletter word such as "Description" or "Sermon" set high and centered, giving a designer ready-made page frames, section-title layouts and a sample of Gothic display lettering.
