English costume
A survey of English dress from the Norman period onward, written and drawn by Dion Clayton Calthrop and published by A. and C. Black in London in 1906 for costume students, illustrators and theatre designers. The line drawings show standing men and women in outline, with hoods, houppelandes, pleated gowns and hats grouped as separate studies on blank grounds, ready for tracing or silhouette work.
