The children's book of stars;
A popular astronomy primer for young readers, written by Geraldine Edith Mitton and published by A. and C. Black in London in 1910. The plates are halftone photographs and tonal drawings on black grounds: the sun's disc with spots, a cratered gibbous moon, the earth lit against scattered stars, and a radiating starburst between two globes — high-contrast white-on-black forms for cutouts and poster fields.
