A history of Japanese colour-prints
Woldemar von Seidlitz's survey of Japanese colour woodblock printing, translated into English and issued in Philadelphia and London in 1910 for collectors, dealers and students of ukiyo-e. Plates reproduce figure prints of courtesans and attendants in patterned robes under blossoming branches, alongside colour studies of flower-filled vessels; useful for kimono textile patterns, brush outline drawing and muted block-printed colour palettes.
