"Trix and chatter"; a novelty-serio-comic-magicologue
A 1921 magic-trick manual and patter collection by Chicago performer Werner F. Dornfeld, issued by conjuring dealer A. P. Felsman for stage magicians and amateur entertainers. The plates are coarse-screened halftone portraits of magicians in evening dress and white bow ties, framed in ruled rectangles and ovals, useful for heavy-dot photographic texture, period headshot framing, and vaudeville-era publicity likenesses.
