Drawn thread work : 2nd series
A needlework instruction manual on drawn thread work, the second series issued by Thérèse de Dillmont's Mulhouse publishing house in 1920 for home embroiderers. The plates are close-up colour photographs of worked linen samples: openwork bands, hemstitched borders, corner returns, lattice fillings and knotted fringes, useful as repeating border patterns, grid motifs and woven texture references.
