Lace and lace making
An illustrated survey of European lace types written by Esther Singleton for the Mentor Association's serial of educational readings, published in New York in 1917 for general adult readers. The plates are photographic close-ups of lace borders and edgings printed white on solid black, showing floral sprays, scrolled tape work, scalloped points, and fine net grounds usable as ornamental bands and stencil-like silhouettes.
