Archæological and historical collections relating to Ayrshire & Galloway
Volumes of local antiquarian papers issued in 1878 by the Ayrshire and Galloway Archaeological Association in Edinburgh, printed for members recording abbeys, sites and finds in south-west Scotland. The plates are wood-engraved studies of stone and bone artefacts drawn at actual size with multiple views and cross-sections, shaded in dense stipple and cross-hatching against blank ground, useful for cut-out objects, texture studies and diagram conventions.
